Karachi is set to see cloudy skies with light rain and drizzle over the next 24 hours, according to Sardar Sarfaraz, chief meteorologist at the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The recent low-pressure system that brought rain to Sindh has now moved on, but the city can still expect some cloudy weather and occasional drizzle in the near term.
Looking ahead, Sarfaraz has warned of another monsoon system on the horizon, which is predicted to impact lower Sindh, including Karachi, starting from August 26 or 27. For upper Sindh, rain is anticipated on August 21.
Today’s weather in Karachi will see temperatures ranging from a low of 28°C to a high between 30°C and 32°C. The humidity will be at 81%, with southwest winds blowing at 17 kilometers per hour.
