As Pakistan prepares to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced the redesigned plans for Karachi’s National Stadium, which will be a key venue for the event.

This redesign is part of a broader renovation project affecting major cricketing venues across the country. The first phase of these renovations is scheduled to be completed before the Champions Trophy begins on February 19, 2025.

The renovation work will proceed in two phases. The initial phase focuses on structural upgrades and aims to be finished before the tournament. The second phase will involve adding a new roof to the entire stadium and will be completed after the tournament.

The new design includes significant updates, such as a new building in front of the main stadium structure. This building will house VIP boxes, a gallery, media boxes, and areas for players’ families. Additionally, the dressing rooms might be moved to this new facility. The old scoreboard building has been demolished, along with the Iqbal Qasim and Naseem-ul-Ghani enclosures.
