NED University of Engineering and Technology has initiated the Undergraduate Fellowship Program, extending scholarships to all undergraduate students, including 2,900 new admissions.
With a budget of Rs 23.3 million, this program aims to offer financial assistance to students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their education. The fellowship program is named after renowned personalities Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar and Ms. Fatima Jinnah.
The program provides a structured scholarship scheme, granting 100% tuition and examination fee waivers to top performers. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, benefiting 1,500 Karachi Board students, 300 A-Level students, and others.
Existing students will also benefit, with top performers eligible for fellowships after the first semester. Students with a CGPA above 2.0 will receive a 22% tuition fee discount, while those with a lower CGPA will receive a 15% discount.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Lodhi highlighted that this program sets a new standard in higher education, positioning NED University as a beacon of hope for financially struggling students. The fellowship list will be released concurrently with the merit list during the admission process.
This initiative supplements the existing Rs 20 crore scholarship program, further emphasizing NED University’s commitment to ensuring accessibility to education for all.
