  • Singapore’s Passport Tops List, Pakistan Remains Low

Singapore’s passport is still the strongest, offering visa-free entry to 195 countries.

For the fourth year in a row, the Pakistani passport is ranked among the worst on the Henley Passport Index. It holds the 100th position, tied with Yemen, and is just above Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. Pakistani and Yemeni passports allow visa-free access to 33 countries, while Iraqi passports offer 31 destinations, Syrian passports 28, and Afghan passports 26.

Afghanistan has the weakest passport, with access to only 26 countries, a historic low.

At the top, Singapore leads with access to 195 destinations. Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and Spain share second place, each allowing access to 192 countries. Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden are tied for third with 191 destinations.

The UK is in 4th place with Belgium, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, and Switzerland, all offering access to 190 countries. The US is 8th with 186 destinations.

The UAE’s passport has made a significant leap into the top 10, now at 9th place with visa-free access to 185 destinations, up from 62nd place. This rise reflects the UAE’s efforts to boost its global business, tourism, and investment status.

Henley & Partners CEO Dr. Juerg Steffen noted that countries with higher visa-free scores often have stronger economies and better international trade relationships.
