Meezan Bank honours Arshad Nadeem with Rs. 92.97 Lakh
Karachi witnessed a grand celebration as Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s star athlete and Olympic gold medalist in men’s javelin throw, was recognized for his historic achievement at a special event held at Meezan House, the headquarters of Meezan Bank.
In a vibrant ceremony attended by Meezan Bank employees, Arshad Nadeem was presented with a cheque by the Bank’s Founding President and CEO, Irfan Siddiqui. He was also honored with a commemorative plaque and medal from Syed Amir Ali, DCEO of Meezan Bank, in recognition of his groundbreaking success.
Nadeem clinched the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics with a remarkable throw of 92.97 meters, marking Pakistan’s first Olympic gold in four decades. Meezan Bank awarded him a cash prize of Rs. 9,297,000, equating to Rs. 100,000 for each meter of his gold-medal-winning throw.
The ceremony, which saw the presence of notable guests and media representatives, highlighted the nation’s pride in Nadeem’s historic achievement. Irfan Siddiqui emphasized Meezan Bank’s commitment to supporting Pakistani athletes who bring international acclaim to the country.
