Man Fined for Driving Car Without Helmet
In an unusual turn of events that has gained viral attention, a man was fined for driving his car without wearing a helmet.
The incident took place in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India, where Tushar Saxena was hit with a INR 1,000 fine by local traffic police, according to reports.
Saxena, who insists he has never been to the area where the fine was issued, found himself in the spotlight for this peculiar violation. He first received a text message about the fine but dismissed it as an error. It wasn’t until he got an email and another message about the challan that he took it seriously.
“The challan was issued on November 9, 2023. It’s normal to get a fine for breaking traffic rules, but I’ve never been to the NCR area. If there’s a rule requiring helmets in cars, it should be officially communicated,” Saxena explained.
He lives about 200 km away in Rampur district and has been informed by the police that he must appear in court if he doesn’t pay the fine.
