In another shocking case of animal cruelty, a landlord in Muzaffargarh reportedly cut off a donkey’s two legs as punishment for entering his field in search of water. The incident occurred in Jatoi Tehsil, where the landlord allegedly used a hoe to amputate the donkey’s legs. According to the station house officer (SHO) of the Jatoi police station, the police have arrested the suspect and filed a case against him based on a complaint from the donkey’s owner. The Livestock Department has provided medical assistance to the injured animal.
This incident is part of a troubling trend of animal abuse cases in Pakistan. Last month, a man in Rawalpindi cut off a female donkey’s ears after the animal entered his farm. In another case, a landlord in Sindh’s Sanghar area severed a female camel’s leg for a similar reason. Sindh police arrested five individuals involved in the camel incident, and the injured animal was taken to Karachi for treatment.
