The court has granted interim bail to Danish Iqbal, the husband of Natasha Danish, the prime accused in the Karsaz accident case, ARY News reported.
The court approved Iqbal’s bail application and required him to post a surety bond of Rs 100,000. Additionally, the court has requested responses from all parties involved in the case by September 6.
Danish Iqbal’s counsel filed the bail application in the city court, and notices were issued to the state’s counsel, the investigation officer, and respondents concerning Natasha’s bail plea.
Natasha Danish, who was involved in the Karsaz accident that resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter Amna, as well as injuries to five others, is currently in judicial custody. The Karachi East court had ordered her production in court the day after the incident.
The Karachi police have recently added another charge to the case against Natasha Danish. Initially booked for the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter on August 19, Natasha was traveling from her home in DHA Scheme-I to her in-laws’ residence when the incident occurred.
Recent medical reports have confirmed that Natasha Danish was under the influence of methamphetamine (commonly known as crystal meth) at the time of the accident.
