By

Jul 26, 2024

The Sindh Transport Department has launched a new electric bus route in Karachi, named “EV-4.” This 55-kilometer route connects Super Highway to Numaish Chowrangi and passes through Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth, and Al-Asif Square, benefiting areas like Ayesha Manzil, Lalukhait, and Teen Hatti.

Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon says this new route will help boost local economies, lower travel costs, and ease traffic. He also mentioned that more electric buses and routes will be added in the future.

Earlier this July, the Sindh Transport Department announced three new routes for the Peoples Bus Service. Starting July 22, there will be a new route from Hawksbay to Tower, and from July 23, the service will extend to cover Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth.
