Karachi traffic police announced that two lanes of University Road, from Safura to Samama, will be closed for traffic due to BRT project work.
Alternative routes are provided: Traffic from NIPA will be redirected to Safura via Dow University (Ojha Campus) and Sachal. Traffic from Safura will be diverted to Jauhar Chowrangi, and traffic from Samama will be directed to NIPA.
Traffic police will be on-site to manage the flow and guide drivers. The road closure is part of the Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) development, but the completion date and reopening of the roads are not yet known.
