Justice Aalia Neelum Nominated as the First Female Chief Justice of Lahore High Court
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan has chosen Justice Aalia Neelum as the first female Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
The decision was made under Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, who approved her nomination for this historic role.
Justice Neelum is currently the third most senior judge at the Lahore High Court and has a distinguished legal career spanning over 20 years. She started as a lawyer in 1996 and became a judge at the Lahore High Court in 2013.
