IT Minister Umer Saif has unveiled an exciting initiative for Pakistani startups aiming to make a global impact. He announced the launch of the BrightStart program, designed to assist 100 startups annually. These selected startups will receive support to participate in any of the top 40 global programs known as incubators or accelerators, which are renowned for aiding the rapid growth of new businesses.

Drawing inspiration from the success stories of startups in prestigious programs such as YCombinator and 500 Startups, the BrightStart program aims to address the common challenge faced by startups of limited resources. Eligible startups stand to receive up to Rs 5 million in funding, which will cover expenses such as travel and accommodation while they participate in these international programs.

The primary objective of this initiative is to provide Pakistani startups with the necessary boost to accelerate their growth trajectory. By gaining access to more advanced systems and opportunities for funding, these startups can expand more rapidly and establish themselves in the global market.
