The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to roll out digital billboards modeled after New York’s Times Square.

This move was confirmed during a meeting led by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, who reviewed the Advertisement Policy 2024. The new policy aims to modernize advertising in the city.

During the meeting, attended by senior CDA officials and other key officers, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need to quickly finalize and implement the policy. The plan includes replacing traditional advertising methods with digital boards throughout the city.

The CDA has announced that these digital boards will be installed along highways, major avenues, commercial areas, and bus stops.

In related news, Islamabad and Baku have started working on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance the city’s appearance. A team of horticulture experts from Baku recently met with CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa. They will begin by renovating and landscaping four key areas in Islamabad: Srinagar Highway, Shakarparian, Saidpur Village, and Melody Food Park.
