Is Dubai Really Blocking Visas for Pakistanis?

Recent social media claims that Dubai has stopped issuing visas to single Pakistani men under 42 have been proven false.

The rumors, which caused worry among travelers and the Pakistani community, were investigated and found to be untrue.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) caused a stir by tweeting that Dubai had stopped issuing visas to single Pakistani men under 42, citing unnamed sources in the local travel industry.

The tweet quickly spread, causing speculation about supposed visa restrictions.

However, reliable sources confirmed that there is no truth to these claims. Dubai has not made any official announcement or implemented any ban on issuing visit or work visas to Pakistani nationals, including single men under 42.

This situation is similar to an incident last year when rumors falsely claimed that the UAE had stopped issuing visit visas to residents of certain Pakistani cities.

Despite some local travel agents supporting these rumors, no official statements from UAE authorities confirmed such actions.

In response to the previous rumors, the Pakistan Foreign Office denied any specific visa ban by the UAE targeting Pakistani citizens. The UAE Consulate General in Karachi also labeled these reports as “fake news,” confirming that no such restrictions existed.
