During a meeting at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Interior Minister Naqvi requested a detailed plan to protect future generations from drug abuse and to stop the online sale of drugs.

Naqvi stressed that the drug problem, especially the use of crystal meth (ice), has caused severe damage to many families. He called for immediate and comprehensive actions to tackle this issue, emphasizing the need for everyone to work together to combat drug abuse for the sake of children.

The meeting decided to take strong measures against drug sales, particularly in schools, hostels, and universities. It was agreed to consult with provinces to ensure their support and cooperation.

By the end of the month, a joint meeting with federal and provincial departments will be held, including Provincial Ministers for Excise and Inspectors General of Police.

Naqvi also reviewed the ANF’s performance, praised their efforts against drug traffickers despite limited resources, and paid tribute to the martyrs by laying a floral wreath and planting a sapling at the ANF Headquarters.
