Senior Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has shared her disappointment with the viral culture in the country that has turned people like Chahat Fateh Ali Khan into overnight stars.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has gained attention for his unique versions of classic songs, including the famous “Bado Badi,” originally sung by Noor Jahan. However, Bushra Ansari is among many in the Pakistani entertainment industry who are critical of his sudden fame.
On the comedian Tabish Hashmi’s show “Hasna Mana Hai,” she expressed her feelings about this trend. “I feel sorry for the viral culture in Pakistan and the mentality of people who make such things popular,” she said. “This trend is beyond my understanding.”
When asked about Khan’s rise to fame, she responded, “I have no words for what he and others like him are becoming famous for.”
Bushra also expressed her concern about the misuse of classic music. “It hurts me to see how music is being disrespected. I cannot accept the exploitation of beloved songs and music from the past,” she concluded.
