The FIA and Formula 1 have officially announced that the 2025 pre-season testing will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit. This venue has hosted pre-season testing six times since 2009, thanks to its favorable weather conditions and diverse track layout, which includes long straights and various corners.

Led by ICC General Manager Wasim Khan, the delegation included key members such as David Musgrave (Security Manager), Sarah Edgar (Senior Manager of Events), Aun Muhammad Zaidi (Event Manager), and Mansoor Manj (ICC Broadcast Consultant). During their visit, they reviewed the upgrades and facilities at the stadium and received a briefing from officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The delegation also engaged with security officials to discuss safety arrangements.

The PCB has allocated Rs 12.80 billion for upgrading three venues—Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Stadium in Karachi, and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium—that will host the tournament. The ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled from February 19 to March 9 next year, with Group A featuring Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
