Dubai has introduced a novel visa tailored specifically for gamers worldwide, to establish the city as a prominent player in the global gaming arena.
The Dubai Gaming Visa forms a key component of the emirate’s ambitious “Dubai Program for Gaming 2033” (DPG 2033), aimed at drawing top talent to the gaming sector and positioning Dubai as a central hub for gaming professionals.
This visa offers long-term residency to gamers, content creators, and industry experts, providing them with a stable platform to advance their careers. Successful applicants will also receive a “Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate,” enhancing their professional profiles and unlocking numerous career prospects within Dubai’s burgeoning gaming industry.
As per a report by the Times of India, applicants must be at least 25 years old and demonstrate a proven track record and expertise in the gaming industry, whether as a professional player, content creator, developer, or in other relevant roles.
To apply for the Dubai Gaming Visa, applicants are required to submit a comprehensive gaming-related resume, a copy of their passport, and their educational credentials. While evidence of community contributions is not mandatory, it is encouraged.
This new visa initiative underscores Dubai’s dedication to becoming a significant player in the global gaming landscape by attracting and nurturing top talent from across the globe.
