In anticipation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for tomorrow at D-Chowk in Islamabad, the All Pakistan Private Schools Association has declared a holiday for private schools in the capital.
The decision comes as a precautionary measure due to expected road closures and potential disruptions from the protest. Waheed Khan, General Secretary of the Private Schools Association, highlighted the importance of student safety, noting the challenges faced today because of container blockades that hindered transportation across the city.
In addition to private schools, both Quaid-e-Azam University and the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) have also announced closures for Friday, with official notifications issued by their administrations.
The planned PTI protest has led to the closure of several educational institutions to ensure the safety of students and staff amid anticipated disruptions.
