Heavy rainfall and logistical issues have led to significant delays for over 30 flights across Pakistan, affecting both domestic and international travel. Airports in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore have been particularly impacted.
One notable delay involved a foreign airline’s flight SV-701 from Jeddah, which was postponed by two and a half hours. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) reported several delays: flight PK-302 from Karachi to Lahore was delayed by two hours, while PK-300 from Islamabad to Karachi also faced a two-hour delay.
International flights have been affected as well. The Karachi-Istanbul flight TK-709 is now delayed by three hours, rescheduled to depart at 9am. PIA’s flight PK-744 from Madinah to Karachi is delayed by four hours. The PK-768 from Jeddah to Quetta arrived an hour and 15 minutes late, and PK-715 from Multan to Madinah will now depart at 12 noon, a delay of four hours. The Dubai-Islamabad flight PK-134 is also delayed by three hours.
Other international flights arriving in Islamabad from Sharjah, Dammam, Muscat, and Dubai are experiencing delays. Flight PK-713 from Islamabad to Madinah is now expected to depart six hours later at 10am, with similar delays reported for flights to Istanbul, Jeddah, Muscat, and Dubai.
