Saudi Authorities Implement Strict Measures for Hajj Pilgrims’ Nusuk Cards
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued stringent guidelines for Hajj pilgrims concerning their Nusuk cards. As per the ministry’s statement, individuals who misplace their cards will be subject to a substantial fine of SR 10,000.
The ministry emphasized that losing the Nusuk card could create difficulties during the Hajj pilgrimage. Earlier, Saudi authorities had announced a fine of SR 10,000 for anyone, including Saudi citizens, expatriates, and visitors, entering Makkah without a Hajj permit between Dhul Qada 25 (June 2) and Dhul Hijjah 14 (June 20).
These fines will be enforced on individuals found without a Hajj permit in various zones, including Makkah, the Central Haram Area, the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, as well as the Haramain train station in Rusayfah, security control centers, pilgrims’ grouping centers, and temporary security control centers.
Moreover, the ministry has announced escalated fines for repeat offenders, with penalties potentially soaring to SR 100,000. Expatriates found violating these regulations will face deportation and may be prohibited from reentering the Kingdom in accordance with legal provisions.
