Government Increases Minimum Wage to Rs. 37,000 in Latest Finance Bill

The Government of Pakistan has proposed raising the minimum wage from Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 37,000 in the finance bill for the fiscal year 2024-25.

Along with being home to the world’s tallest building, the city also boasts the largest shopping center, which is now set to expand further.

The Dubai Mall is a sprawling shopping center spread over 12.2 million square feet, and it is currently adding 240 more shops and hotels.

Additionally, the government has recommended salary increases for federal employees: a 25% raise for those in grades 1 to 16, and a 20% raise for those in grade 17 and above.

Moreover, in a move to support pensioners, the government has proposed a 15% increase in pension payments, offering crucial relief to retired individuals.

These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to easing economic challenges and promoting the financial security of its people.
