Government Aims to Support Semiconductor Industry, AI, and Quantum Technology: Planning Minister
The federal government is committed to boosting the semiconductor industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Technologies in Pakistan, announced Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Monday.
Speaking at the launch of the International Nathiagali Summer College on Physics and Contemporary Needs, he highlighted government initiatives to advance quantum technology. This includes establishing a National Centre for Quantum Computing this year.
He also mentioned efforts to support talent in quantum science and technology through scholarships and training programs. Minister Iqbal praised the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission for its contributions to sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and energy.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to maintaining stable economic policies and implementing initiatives aimed at leading the country towards development and prosperity.
