Go Energy Pvt Ltd plans to launch a 500 MW floating solar power project on Keenjhar Lake. This initiative aims to provide clean energy to K-Electric through the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company (STDC)’s transmission line.
STDC is collaborating with private firms to enhance the electricity infrastructure in the region, addressing its energy needs. Alongside the floating solar project, an MoU has been approved for a 600 MW transmission line involving Gul Ahmed Group Power Company and Gul Ahmed Renewable Energy, contributing 50 MW each.
These efforts signify significant strides towards sustainable energy solutions and improved transmission networks in Sindh. They underscore the region’s commitment to renewable energy and promise a more reliable electricity supply.
Additionally, the establishment of the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SEPRA) highlights ongoing efforts to ensure affordable electricity for consumers. SEPRA will oversee procurement processes to uphold transparency and cost-effectiveness in the energy sector.
