Gas supply to parts of Sindh and Balochistan is experiencing disruptions because of a leak in one of the feeder lines that supply gas to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
The SSGC announced on Facebook that a Gambat GPF IV feeder line has developed a leak, leading to a gas shortage of 38 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) in the system.
A repair team from Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has started fixing the pipeline, and the work is expected to be completed within 20 hours.
The SSGC stated that this issue will cause low gas pressure in some areas of Sindh and Balochistan and apologized for the inconvenience.
