Four Pakistani Students Win Gold and Bronze Medals at International Chef Competition in Malaysia

Three students from the Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHAM) showcased their culinary talents at the Battle of Chefs 2024 in Malaysia, winning gold and bronze medals.

Aisha Ali won a gold medal in the seafood category with her exceptional dish. Sehrish Ayub also earned a gold medal for her outstanding chicken main course. Irum Sheikh secured a bronze medal in the roasted chicken freestyle category, and Fatima Sistan also received a bronze medal.

Sindh’s Minister for Tourism and Culture, Zulfiqar Ali Shah, praised their achievements and announced a Rs50,000 cash reward for each student.

These awards highlight the quality of training at PITHAM and show that Pakistan’s culinary arts can compete globally. The success of Aisha, Sehrish, Irum, and Fatima is an inspiration to aspiring chefs and a testament to the support from their institution and government.
