A Saudi Airlines plane caught fire at Peshawar airport on Thursday. The fire started in the plane’s landing gear.
All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were safely evacuated using inflatable slides. The flight was en route to Riyadh from Peshawar. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Firefighters quickly put out the blaze. The fire reportedly started as the plane was landing.
Earlier that day, a plane heading to Colombo from Dubai made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport due to a passenger’s worsening health. The passenger had a heart attack and was pronounced dead by the medical team after the landing. The deceased, identified as Paloni, 57, was later taken to Colombo.
