Flydubai has launched new flights to Islamabad and Lahore. The airline, which began operations in Pakistan in 2010 with flights to Karachi, now also serves Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, and Sialkot.
On its first day, the inaugural flights were welcomed with water cannon salutes. Flight FZ 353 arrived in Islamabad at 1:55 am and returned to Dubai with 162 passengers. Flight FZ 359 landed in Lahore at 4:29 am, where passengers received gifts and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Flydubai’s new flights offer business class fares starting at AED 5,500 ($1,497) and economy class fares starting at AED 1,300 ($353) from Dubai to Islamabad. From Islamabad to Dubai, business class fares start at Rs 400,000 ($1,436) and economy at Rs 120,000 ($430).
