A FlyDubai plane made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport on Thursday because a passenger fell seriously ill and later died during the flight. The captain requested permission from Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC) to land immediately due to the medical emergency.

The passenger, Palawini, a Sri Lankan national, was treated by doctors from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) after landing. Sadly, they confirmed that she had died of a heart attack.

The federal health officer issued a death certificate, and after completing the necessary procedures, the flight continued to Colombo with the passenger’s body.

This incident highlights the importance of emergency readiness and the quick response of the flight crew and Karachi Airport staff. The airline and airport staff offered their condolences to the deceased’s family and ensured that all procedures were handled respectfully.
