FlowGPT creates the GenAI App Store for wild chatbot models

FlowGPT introduces an exciting alternative to the OpenAI GPT Store, offering chatbot creators the opportunity to unleash their creativity with the GenAI App Store. Unlike the OpenAI Store, where users are restricted to existing models, FlowGPT empowers creators to build their own GenAI-powered model apps using popular generative AI models like Meta’s Llama 2, OpenAI’s DALL-E3, and Google’s Gemini.

Founded by Jay Dang, a UC Berkeley computer science dropout, and Lifan Wang, a former engineering manager at Amazon, FlowGPT is described as an “ecosystem” for GenAI-powered apps. It provides infrastructure, creator tools, and a marketplace where users can explore and interact with various GenAI apps.

Users can engage with GenAI apps through chat windows, typing prompts, giving thumbs-ups, or sharing links to conversations. Each app includes details such as creation date, usage statistics, and recommended models for optimal performance.

While FlowGPT offers a diverse range of apps, including innovative creations and useful tools, there are some concerns regarding inappropriate content. However, the platform provides features to filter sensitive content and report violations of community guidelines.

Despite challenges, FlowGPT is committed to fostering a vibrant and creator-focused platform, offering limitless possibilities for AI-driven experiences. With millions of users and rapid growth, FlowGPT aims to set new standards in AI immersion and creativity.
