Family of Karachi Accident Victims Forgives Natasha Danish

The family of the victims from a tragic hit-and-run accident in Karachi has officially forgiven Natasha Danish, the suspect in the case, as confirmed by an affidavit submitted on Friday.

The accident, which occurred last month, resulted in the deaths of a father and daughter and left several others injured. The case had drawn significant media attention, partly due to allegations that authorities were stalling the investigation because of Natasha Danish’s high-profile connections.

Natasha Danish, who is married to a prominent businessman, was initially accused of being behind the wheel during the incident.

In a recent court submission, the victims’ family expressed their decision to forgive Natasha Danish. The affidavit, signed by the widow of one of the deceased, revealed that the family had voluntarily chosen to pardon the accused as an act of mercy, without any external coercion.

While the affidavit did not specify any financial settlements, it is common in Pakistan for such cases to involve “diyat” or blood money as part of the resolution process.
