Emirates is revolutionizing luxury air travel with the launch of its newly retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, offering passengers an unparalleled experience with stunning new cabin interiors.
The first of these revamped Boeing 777s has entered service, with the retrofit completed in just 37 days. The aircraft made its maiden voyage to Geneva as EK 83, ahead of schedule. Emirates plans to refurbish 80 more Boeing 777s, with these upgraded planes set to be deployed on routes to Tokyo and Brussels.
The extensive retrofit was conceptualized, designed, and executed by Emirates Airlines’ in-house team of 175 engineers and technicians at Emirates Engineering in Dubai. The team meticulously gutted, refitted, and refurbished the aircraft, introducing new amenities, signature interiors, and a range of premium onboard products.
The highlight of the retrofit is the introduction of the Premium Economy Cabin, designed for maximum comfort and style. This cabin features 24 seats arranged in three rows with a 2-4-2 layout. The seats boast cream leather, wood panel finishing, a 38-inch pitch, 19.5-inch width, 8-inch recline, and 6-way adjustable headrests.
