Dubai has launched a new Gaming Visa Initiative designed to entice skilled gamers from around the world with extended residency permits. This strategic move aims to position Dubai as a prominent figure in the global gaming arena.

This initiative is a key component of Dubai’s Program for Gaming 2033, which envisions the city as a central hub for gaming by 2033. The program aims to generate 30,000 employment opportunities in Dubai and contribute a significant $1 billion to the emirate’s GDP. Under this program, gamers, content creators, and industry professionals can secure long-term residency through a specialized Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate.

Applicants for this certificate must meet certain eligibility criteria, including a minimum age requirement of 25 years. Additionally, applicants are required to submit their gaming-related CV along with a copy of their passport.

Here are all the documents required for the application:

  1. Passport copy.
  2. Educational qualification.
  3. Proof of contribution to the gaming community (optional).
  4. Desired job roles.
  5. Residence permits / EIDs (if available).
  6. A relevant CV.
  7. Additional personal details such as residence, workplace, etc.

Interested gamers can apply for the program via the official Dubai Gaming Initiative website. Upon submission, applicants will receive email notifications regarding the progress of their applications and will be granted the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate upon successful approval.

Dubai’s initiative extends beyond gamers to encompass programmers, developers, entrepreneurs, and leading tech companies. The city is committed to streamlining the visa process, promising to reduce processing times from a month to just five days.
