Driving License Services Suspended Across Punjab Due to System Glitch
A major issue with the Driving License Issuance Management System has led to the suspension of all driving license services across Punjab, including in Lahore. This malfunction affects the issuance of learner’s permits, renewals, new licenses, and international driving permits.
CTO Ammara Athar confirmed that the problem is due to technical difficulties within the system, and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) team is working diligently to resolve the issues.
As a result of this disruption, processing of driving licenses has been halted while the system undergoes necessary upgrades and repairs. Individuals seeking to obtain a learner’s permit, renew an existing license, or apply for a new or international driving license will face delays.
The CTO assured the public that efforts are underway to fix the technical problems and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
