In a desperate plea, a disabled man from Pindi Esa, near Jaranwala, has said he plans to sell his eyes, heart, and kidneys to pay his electricity bill.

In a video widely shared on social media, Yaseen expressed his frustration over being unable to pay the bill despite living with a disability for five years. He urged the government to step in and fulfill its promise of free electricity for poor and needy families.

Starting July 1, NEPRA has introduced fixed charges for domestic electricity users. Those using up to 200 units are exempt. Users consuming 301 to 400 units will face a Rs. 200 monthly charge, and those using 401 to 500 units will pay Rs. 400. The charge increases to Rs. 1000 for those consuming over 700 units.

These fixed charges are intended to boost revenue for electricity distribution companies.
