Customs Officials Arrest Man With 29 iPhones at Karachi Airport
At Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, a passenger arriving from Dubai was apprehended with 29 iPhones concealed on his body. Customs officials intercepted his attempt to smuggle these phones, along with laptops, women’s clothing, and cosmetics, through the green channel.
The passenger, identified as Muhammad Danial Nasir, was on Flydubai flight FZ333. Customs officials, led by Additional Collector Faisal Khan, stopped him after he had passed through the green channel with his luggage.
According to Khan, the customs team, acting on suspicion, directed Nasir to the examination counter for a detailed inspection of his body and belongings. The search revealed a shocking find: 29 iPhones hidden beneath his clothing, with additional iPhones, two laptops, women’s clothing, chocolates, and cosmetics found in his bags.
Additional Collector Faisal Khan reported that the estimated value of the seized goods is approximately Rs. 7.5 million. Following the discovery, authorities promptly registered a case against Nasir, arrested him, and confiscated the smuggled items.
