According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of K-Electric, Moonis Alvi, if citizens of Karachi pay their bills, there will be no load shedding.

CEO Moonis Alvi claims that 70% of Karachi’s areas are exempt from load shedding.

He stated that citizens of Karachi owe Rs. 70 billion to K-Electric, so if they pay their bills, there will be no load shedding.

In Karachi, as well as many other cities, both announced and unannounced load shedding has left the public distressed.

On the other hand, Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has formed a committee to address the increasing load shedding in Karachi, with Mayor Saeed Ghani heading it.

The committee has been assured of Nasir Shah’s assistance in recovering dues exceeding Rs. 9 billion. The committee will take steps by consulting on various matters, including ending load shedding and bill payments.
