Significant progress has been made in the case of seven air hostesses, including one from PIA, who were involved in a situation in Toronto.
An inquiry committee from the Aviation Division is investigating who hired these air hostesses. They’ve talked to GM Scheduling Ali Abbas, Deputy GM Qudratullah, and others to find out what happened.
Reports suggest that the employees are blaming each other for what went wrong. This happened because one of the arrested flight attendants was scheduled to work on her day off, even though seven flight attendants were told not to fly to Toronto.
Interestingly, an officer connected to the case is still working in the department, despite being moved around before.
The PIA spokesperson promises that they’ll fully cooperate with the inquiry. They say they’ll take strong action against anyone involved in the investigation’s findings.
Last month, Canadian authorities arrested a PIA air hostess, Hina Sani, for having multiple passports. She was on flight PK-789 to Toronto. It’s also been revealed that seven other flight attendants were on that flight but were supposed to be “no-flyers” for the Toronto route.
The crew got special permission from the deputy general manager of Flight Services, using his personal identification.
