A new report says that international music artist Drake won over Rs 7 crores from a bet he made on the India vs Pakistan cricket match. The match was part of the T20 World Cup, and India won by six runs. Drake had bet on India to win and shared on his Instagram Stories that he bet Rs 5.4 crores on India.
According to the UK publication Mirror, Drake reportedly won £715,000 (Rs 7.58 crore INR), with £204,000 (Rs 2.16 crore) as profits. The report mentioned that Drake has made many bets like this in the past.
In the match, India batted first and scored 119 runs, losing all their wickets in 19 overs. Pakistan started well in their chase, making Indian fans nervous. However, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya’s bowling helped India. Bumrah took three wickets, conceding only 14 runs, while Pandya took two wickets, giving away 24 runs.
