Businessman Kidnapped in Karachi Found Back Home in Lahore
Zulfiqar Ahmed, a prominent businessman kidnapped from Karachi last week, has safely returned home in Lahore, according to sources.
Police and the family’s lawyer have confirmed that Zulfiqar Ahmed has contacted his family and will soon be reunited with them. However, details about his captors or where he was held remain unclear.
Zulfiqar was abducted on July 23 from Mauripur Road in Karachi by eight masked men in a vehicle. His friend, Qaiser, was released shortly after.
The Sindh High Court had recently issued notices to various authorities in response to a petition for Zulfiqar’s recovery. The petition highlighted his role as a leading businessman and managing director of textile and oil companies.
An FIR was filed against the alleged kidnappers, and police teams led by senior officials are investigating the case. Additionally, two senior employees of Zulfiqar’s company, who were also abducted in Lahore, have not yet been found.
