British Newspaper The Telegraph Calls Masjid al-Haram the World’s Most Expensive Building

According to a report by The Telegraph, Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah is the world’s most expensive building, with a staggering cost of $100 billion. This mosque, the holiest site in Islam, spans 400,800 square meters and can accommodate up to four million worshippers.

The second most expensive building is the Abraj al-Bayt (Clock Towers) in Makkah, which cost $15 billion. Other notable entries on the list include Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands, Las Vegas’s The Cosmopolitan, Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia in Mumbai, and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

These projects highlight impressive architectural and engineering achievements and reflect significant investments in infrastructure and tourism, drawing millions of visitors each year. The Telegraph’s ranking shows the enormous financial resources needed to create some of the world’s most iconic and luxurious buildings.
