Bollywood legend Govinda, known for his iconic roles and comedic flair, was injured at his home early this morning when a licensed revolver accidentally discharged. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. at his residence in Juhu, Mumbai.
According to Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, the actor was preparing to leave for a scheduled show in Kolkata when the accident happened. Sinha reported that he was already at the airport when Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while placing the revolver in a cupboard.
“Thankfully, the injury is not serious,” Sinha reassured, noting that the bullet only grazed Govinda’s leg. Following the incident, the 60-year-old actor underwent minor surgery to remove the bullet, and his condition is currently stable.
Govinda became a household name in the 1990s with memorable hits like *Aankhen* (1993), *Raja Babu* (1994), and *Coolie No. 1* (1995). He continued to win hearts in the 2000s with films like *Bhagam Bhag* (2006) and *Partner* (2007).
