Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has affirmed that the government is open to negotiating with Gwadar protesters to resolve issues peacefully.

During a Balochistan Assembly session on Friday, CM Bugti emphasized the government’s role in maintaining order and managing public demonstrations. He acknowledged the right to protest but stressed that such events must be organized properly. The government will support protests with essentials like water but will not allow disruptions to major projects.

The CM suggested that the protests in Gwadar might be aimed at hindering investment projects.

The assembly, led by Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, discussed current law and order issues and made recommendations.

The announcement comes as tensions rise over upcoming protests organized by the Baloch Yekjehti Committee (BYC) on July 28, which are believed to target major Chinese investments in Gwadar.
