NEW DELHI: Babar Azam has announced his resignation from the captaincy of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in white-ball formats. In a heartfelt midnight post addressed to his fans, he shared, “I have decided to step down as captain, effective from my notification to the PCB and Team Management last month. It has been an honor to lead this team, but now it’s time for me to focus on my playing role.”
Babar reflected on his captaincy experience, stating, “It has been rewarding, but the added workload has been significant.
