On Wednesday, Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik announced that Azerbaijan is considering an investment of $2 to $3 billion in Pakistan, particularly in the mineral sector, including oil and gas, according to the state news agency APP.
Malik noted Azerbaijan’s strong interest in oil and gas exploration and the LNG sector.
He mentioned that the prime minister is eager to enhance economic cooperation with friendly countries, emphasizing that the government prioritizes investment over aid.
The minister also highlighted the anticipated visit of Azerbaijan’s President to Pakistan, which is expected to boost trade relations. Discussions will focus on increasing textile exports and promoting the IT sector.
Malik expressed optimism that these initiatives will significantly strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
