ISLAMABAD: The National Computer Emergency Response Team (nCERT) has put to rest rumors of a nationwide shutdown affecting ATMs and online banking apps, as reported by ARY News.
In an official statement, nCERT clarified that there have been no reported issues with banking infrastructure or threats targeting ATMs and digital banking services.
The advisory urged the public to avoid spreading misleading information on social media, which has been causing undue alarm.
nCERT assured that all banking services, including ATMs and online apps, are functioning as usual and there’s no need for concern.
For safety, users are advised to log out of banking apps after use and regularly review their bank statements for any suspicious activity.
