Exclusive data reveals that around 20,000 Pakistani nationals are currently incarcerated across 88 countries.

This significant number includes 68 individuals facing the death penalty for serious crimes such as terrorism, murder, and drug smuggling.

The data highlights that the United Arab Emirates holds 5,292 Pakistani prisoners, while Saudi Arabia has 10,432. Malaysia has 463 Pakistani detainees, the United Kingdom 321, and Oman 578.

In addition, Turkey has 387 Pakistani prisoners, Bahrain 371, and Greece 598. China holds 406, Germany 90, and Iraq 40. The United States has 114 Pakistani inmates, Sri Lanka 89, and Spain 92.

Furthermore, there are 85 Pakistani prisoners in Afghanistan, 48 in South Africa, and 186 in France. This data underscores the urgent need to address the conditions and legal support for Pakistani citizens detained abroad.
