Alert: Fake Delivery Package Scams Continue to Spread

By

May 23, 2024

The fake SMS claims that a delivery package will not reach the recipient unless they update their street address and direct them to click on a malicious link.

This scam remains widespread, with numerous users reporting these fraudulent messages online.

Here is an example of what these fake messages typically look like.

As shown in the screenshot, the scammers continue to use the same tactics. The SMS pretends to be an official message from Pakistan Post, instructing recipients to update their address via a malicious link.

It is important to remember that Pakistan Post never requests online payments or address updates through SMS, especially not with a malicious link. If there is an issue with your order, the platform you ordered from will typically contact you through their official channels, not a random phone number.

Users are strongly advised against clicking on suspicious links
