Bollywood fans are buzzing with speculation about a possible sequel to the 2016 hit film *Dangal* after Aamir Khan recently video called Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat.

Khan reached out to Phogat, who was the first Indian female wrestler to reach the finals at the Paris Olympics before being disqualified on the day of the final bout. He congratulated her for her “stupendous fight” in the games.

Photos of their cheerful video call have surfaced on social media, fueling rumors that Khan may be preparing a sequel to *Dangal*. The original film, which was a blockbuster, focused on Vinesh’s cousins, Geeta and Babita Phogat.

In response to the viral images, social media users have speculated about *Dangal 2*, with some commenting, “Dangal 2 is on its way!” and others suggesting, “There’s going to be a movie made…” One user even claimed, “Aamir Khan will make a film and will mint money! Wait and see.”

The first *Dangal*, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was praised for its honest portrayal of the Phogat sisters’ story and Khan’s performance. It was a commercial success and garnered numerous awards.

Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat, who recently announced her retirement from wrestling, was disqualified from the Paris Olympics women’s 50kg finals for being overweight by 100 grams. Despite this setback, she remains a celebrated athlete with three gold medals from the Commonwealth Games.
