18-Member NA Committee Formed to Address Parliament Issues
In response to recent disruptions in Parliament, including the arrest of PTI lawmakers, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has established an 18-member special committee to address and resolve parliamentary issues. This move follows a resolution adopted by both the government and opposition.
The committee, comprising an equal number of lawmakers from the treasury and opposition benches, includes notable members such as Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and others like Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Naveed Qamar, and Gohar Ali Khan. The committee will focus on recommending solutions for the smooth functioning of Parliament.
In related news, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has criticized the arrival of masked individuals in Parliament as “shameful,” underscoring the need for this committee’s intervention in restoring order.
